Organizational Structure of the Grama Panchayat

President

The President is the chief administrative authority of the Panchayat. The President leads development activities and administrative procedures and ensures coordination of various projects.

Vice President

Assists the President in administrative activities and assumes responsibility for carrying out administrative duties in the absence of the President.

Standing Committees

These committees oversee activities in areas such as development, finance, health and education, and welfare within the Panchayat.

Development Standing Committee

Implements development projects of the Panchayat and works towards public welfare and the development of basic infrastructure.

Finance Standing Committee

The committee manages the income and expenditure of the Panchayat. It is responsible for budgeting, financial control, and financial supervision.

Health & Education Standing Committee

Coordinates and supervises activities in the health and education sectors.

Welfare Standing Committee

Implements public welfare schemes and promotes social security and welfare activities.

Sub-Committees

These committees are formed to deal with activities in specific areas and provide support and guidance for various projects.

Panchayat Secretary

The Secretary is the principal administrative officer of the Panchayat. The Secretary coordinates office activities, file procedures, and administrative functions.

Assistant Secretary

Assists with administrative and office activities. Also functions as the Member Secretary of Kudumbashree and coordinates various welfare schemes.

Junior Superintendent

Supervises day-to-day office activities and coordinates file procedures and the functioning of various office sections.

Accountant

Manages the financial transactions and accounts of the Panchayat. Maintains budgets, tax records, and income and expenditure accounts.

Senior Clerk

Supervises office records and administrative procedures. Handles the scrutiny of important files and coordinates the activities of various sections.

Clerk

Handles files, records, tax collection, applications, and office registers.

Office Attendant

Performs daily duties such as transferring documents, maintaining office arrangements, and providing general assistance.
